Videography
My videography ranges from simple edits shot on high quality cameras, to abstract and absurd shot on older camcorders to give a nostalgic look.
“Chapter 1, The Stranger”
Shot on Sony Camcorder and edited with AfterEffects/PremierePro
This short abstract video was inspired by The Invisible Man book. It was a snowy day outside and I was feeling incredibly passionate about making something so I started off by filming at each location and then I just wanted to make weird edits and transitions, in total only being a 12 hour process which was really fun.
“Sorry if this is weird”
Filmed with HP Digital Camera, 2024
Video class short film shot on Hp Photosmart digital camera, about a person who wakes up in the afterlife and has to go home…
This was my favorite short film to make as it is completely made from stills. I began with making a storyboard of the film and drew out every single shot, after that the shooting process was pretty simple as me and my co-director just had to copy the shots that I drew out and the editing was even simpler. The true difficulty was the audio component as I had to voice act and then line the music up perfectly, trying to make it all feel as surreal and nostalgic as possible.
The Edible, The Crow and the Blue Jay
Shot on Canon Digital Camera, Edited on Premiere Pro/AfterEffects, 2025
This film has to do with a simple guy who wants to befriend a crow but is too lazy to do anything to reach that goal. This movie was fun to make as there was a lot of different shooting and editing techniques I used. I tinkered a lot with AfterEffects and the different things it could do and filmed the same shot multiple times to make them feel stranger.
Photography
Photography
My photography is not as varied as much as my videography as I love capturing lovely scenes that I would like to see and that connect deeply with me. On occasion I even use photography as a way to plan out what shots I want to use in my videos.
APEO, FUJIFILM X-S20, 2026
This is a series I made while I was in Mexico about my town Apeo in Michoacán. It means so much to me because so many people see Mexico in such a bad way and I really wanted to show how beautiful and amazing everything about it is. The community, the towns, the architecture and even more emphasis on the community because there is so much over there that we are completely missing over here in the United States! I have been going to Mexico for my whole life and I love it over there so much and I am happy to say that these pictures perfectly capture how I see it in my eyes.
LIMINAL SPACES, VARIOUS CAMERAS, 2025
FLEA MARKET, FUJIFILM X-S20, 2025
The flea market series is a nostalgic series for me as me and my dad would always go when I was young, I find it interesting how it had an eerie feeling to it as a kid and now as a young adult it remained almost stuck in time. I really like this photo series because it made me go to an incredibly crowded space and the challenge would be to make the pictures feel empty. I would be patient and turn up my shutter speed for the right moment that people are out of frame.
This series of liminal photos are my favorite that I have ever shot. Ever since I was a kid I would experiment with any type of technology I could get my hands on, take it apart, see everything it can do, anything. So when I became a photographer and began messing with cameras decades old, I was excited. I would mess with the contrast, the iso, and even see the ways a camera flash can mess with the photo more than putting something in focus.
